Lectures [NL]
The central theme of Laus Polyphoniae this summer is 'counterpoint', a musical technique that intertwines different melodies into a resounding whole. How did composers from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance manage to create such refined sound textures? What are the rules and how did they evolve? Through lectures and concerts, you will dissect the secrets of counterpoint step by step (or better: point by point).
